Ezentive ApS owns and operates the website www.golfquis.com and the applications GolfQuis, RuleCaddie, and GolfRuleCaddie.

  1. Purpose of Data Processing

We collect and process your information to:

  • Provide a personalized quiz and learning experience.
  • Enable participation in leaderboards and tournaments.
  • Deliver intelligent rule assistance via our AI feature, “Ruley”.
  • Improve our services through anonymized statistics.
  1. What Information Do We Collect?

In our Apps (GolfQuis & RuleCaddie):

  • Profile Information: Name (or alias), email address, country, and optionally your DGU number (national golf ID).
  • AI Interactions: When you ask questions to our AI (Ruley), your questions are processed to provide an answer. These questions are anonymized and sent to the Google Gemini API. We do not collect personally identifiable information via the AI chat unless you manually enter it into your queries.
  • Technical Data: Unique device ID, IP address, and technical specifications of your device to ensure correct functionality.

On our Website:

  • We use cookies for statistics and to optimize the user experience. You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings.
  1. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use the following trusted sub-processors:

  • Firebase (Google): For storage of your user profile and database.
  • Google Gemini API: For processing AI queries (anonymized).
  • Golf Clubs/Organizations: If you participate in a closed tournament, your club can see your name/alias and DGU number for leaderboard purposes, but never your email address.
  1. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Self-Service: You can delete your account at any time directly in the app under “Profile” -> “Delete Account”. All personal data is removed immediately and permanently.
  • Inactivity: We typically delete player profiles that have been inactive for 24 months.
  • Subscriptions: Please note that deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active Pro subscription. This must be done via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  1. Security

We use encrypted data transfer (SSL) and modern server technology (Firebase) to ensure that your information is protected against unauthorized access or misuse.

  1. Your Rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you and the right to have incorrect information corrected. Inquiries can be sent to info@golfquis.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
